Wrap To Vape – Lessons On Vape Coils

Vape in public in SAUDI

What makes vaping special? Many turn to vaping as an alternative to cigarette smoking. But is that all about vaping?

Vaping is an experience more than a method that helps break a bad habit. There are way too many options with your vape devices and e-liquids, producing different experiences to its users. You can vape with high nicotine intakes or you can take in flavored vapors to lessen that nicotine craving. You can get higher or lower throat hits or produce plumes of vapor clouds or rings of vapor.

So what makes each vaping experience different? Apart from the different device and salt nic e-liquids, the technicalities of your device can also affect your vaping experience. Let us take a look at one of those –

Understanding Vape Coils

The coil is a component inside the vaping device’s atomizer. In the world of vaping, if your vape mod is the body, the coil can be considered as the heart, a fundamental part of your vaping experience.

The coil and wicking material together constitute the atomizer, which is housed within the device tank and is the component that creates the vapor. You can choose different coil resistances to create specific vaping experiences that you like the best.

An atomizer uses the energy from the device battery to heat up the coil inside, which in turn vaporizes the e-liquid soaked into the wicking material. The resultant vapor then inhaled and exhaled by you during vaping.

With that much cleared, let’s break down the atomizer. The atomizer head has three parts – the body, coil, and the wicking material.

The body supports all the components of the atomizer head. The outer casing of the body is connected to the battery, providing electrical contact for the coil inside.

The coil is thin wire wrapped into a spiral. On pressing the button on your vaping device, your coil will get power from the battery and vaporizes the e-liquid saturating the wicking material.

The wicking material is just an absorbent made of cotton or silica which surrounds or is inserted through the coil.

Device resistance

Depending on the coil inside the atomizer, an electrical resistance measured in ohms is considered for your vaping devices. There are high and low resistance devices which are differentiated based on the coil resistance.

The high resistance atomizer has a coil with resistance to more than 1.0 ohm and is used at lower power. They produce regular vapor, with smaller clouds of vapor. They are best suited for most vape devices and uses less e-liquid.

On the other hand, the low resistance atomizers have a resistance of less than 1.0 ohm. They are generally termed as sub-ohms and requires higher operating powers.

Sub-ohm devices produce larger clouds of vapor and use more e-liquid. They are also not compatible with most devices as they need high power batteries. Although the device produces huge clouds of vapor, more liquid is used each time, draining the battery of power in the process.

Different types of coil wires

The coil wires are made of materials like Nichrome or Kanthal. Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless steel are also used, but they are less popular choices as they are used for temperature control vaping.

Which is best for you?

This is a totally personal choice as it all depends on what works for you. If you prefer saving your e-liquid and battery life, high resistance coils can be used to help you better. On the other hand, if you are looking for a vaping experience, producing huge vapor clouds, then sub-ohm devices are for you.

At the end of the day, your vaping experience is solely your choice. Get you vaping devices from online vapor store in SAUDI and find your suit.
